FIRE WATER AND FOAM HOSE REEL
| Description |
Fire
water and foam hose reel is a compact Fire Fighting
System with
foam to extinguish fire in oil rigs and
other places.
It consist of
1. Galvanized / stainless steel
drum mounted on a frame.
2. Rubber hose wound on a drum having
fog nozzle for foam
discharge
at one end.
3. Stainless steel tank having a
capacity of 30/60 US gallons for
foam.
4. Eductor for foam suction, having
a metering valve of 0 to 9%
setting
5. By- pass pipe line for transfer
of liquid when the system is not in
use for
fire.
6. Swivel joints in the system provide
leak-proof & smooth rotation of
drum. |

| How
it works? |
In
case of fire, water pumped through the in-let
of the system at a
pressure of 7 bar g, activates the eductor
to suck the foam from tank
and mix with water to create a blanket
of foam on fire, which cut-off
oxygen and prevent the fire from spreading.
In other cases, by-pass line provided
in the system act as a pipe line
to transfer the liquids. |

hose reel is used to transfer potable water,
diesel and chemical
in oil rigs from platform to platform.
It consist of
1. Galvanized / stainless steel drum mounted
on a frame.

coupling / nozzle for
discharge of liquid
at one end.
3. Swivel joints in the system provide
leak-proof & smooth rotation of
drum. |

CABLE
REEL DRUM
| Description |
Cable
reel is used to wound the cable (which is not
in constant use)
to avoid rupture and damage of the cable
on the oil rigs / jetties.
It consist of
1. Galvanized / stainless steel reel mounted
on a frame.
2. Bearing in the system provide smooth
rotation of reel. |
